SoHo Dragon represents an investment bank with offices in New York, NY that needs to hire a System Developer for a project work.

Job Description:

• Execute projects and enhancements related to optimization and automation
• Work includes development and automation of the import of trades/Market data into Financial application systems
• The candidate is expected to work closely, and communicate effectively and independently with project managers and business analysts as well as external vendors

Job Requirements:

• Analyze internal user needs and desired results and develop software solutions with responsibility for the delivery of software applications, with no supervision.
• Develop complex applications, write, design, code, test, implement and debug programs adhering to corporate requirements and standards
• Perform application testing and validation, programming and documentation.
• Document design decisions and develop software components, adhering to existing process guidelines.
• Co-ordinate software installation and monitor implementation process.
• Monitor system performance trends and identify potential issues.
• Present Complex IT concepts and project metrics to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Maintenance and enhancement of the existing application: Design and develop web-based real-time multi-tier integrated software application (Murex MXML for equities, interest rate, fx,etc..) including database/datawarehouse systems to address the unique needs of financial section.
• Design and Implementation of technical modules from start to end adapted to business case. Analyze business/data processing problems and design and implement enhancements/modifications to existing software systems.
• Planning and prioritizing development priorities working closely with the rest of the development team. Develop and support various applications for implementing batch related processes. Analyze process and implement customized integration for interfacing Murex with third party tools.
