About the Role:
This role will report into the Head of Supplier Sustainability which works across the procurement department to ensure we deliver our sustainable sourcing strategy to both the business and the procurement function. The role will be responsible for providing analytical support to the Category Management team on sustainability and other procurement initiatives. Work will require the use of SAP, procurement related technologies and sustainable assessment tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the Procurement category managers and suppliers to analyse and report on our carbon Scope 3 progress
- Provide analytical support for major sourcing events
- Provide data analysis and reporting to the Category Management team
- Responsible for managing sustainability resources in the category management platform and supporting Category Managers with use of these tools
- Supply chain sustainability risk assessment & supply chain mapping
- Provide cross-functional support in relation to wider sustainability business reporting including Scope 3 greenhouse gas reporting
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
- An understanding of procurement, its role within an organisation, how it adds value and interacts with other functions
- A good understanding of some core procurement processes (such as e-Sourcing and category management)
- Strong numerical, analytical and reporting skills with very strong IT skills across Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ideally SAP
- Champion process improvements
- A proven ability to multi-task effectively
- A passion for sustainability
- Demonstrated success working in a cross functional team environment is essential
- Ability to request and obtain help at the appropriate time and work under pressure with good time management skills
- Good presentation, verbal and written communication skills
