Job description
This is a big challenge, but for the right individual, with the right drive and desire this could be a chance to change the status quo, to leave a mark and start something big. We are looking for someone who wants to improve things for people and wildlife. Someone who we can trust with leading and managing one of our teams, knowing they will get the best out of those talented individuals.
Ideally you will have some experience of the planning system, but this is not essential. This will be a fixed term contract until 31 July 2024 with the strong possibility of becoming permanent.

- An awareness and understanding of the political framework we work within.
- Knowledge of the UK planning system and relevant legislation particularly relating to local plans/supporting evidence, major growth projects and development management work-streams.
- Confident in achieving quality results and in leading others to do the same.
On occasions you may need to travel to Environment Agency offices or customers’ sites/offices in the East Midlands and occasionally further afield.
