Role Overview:
The Sustainability UK Team Leader role will support the Head of Sustainability in driving growth, capability and high performance across the team. The role will manage multiple projects, represent the company at external events, deliver fee income and drive new business development. A key part of the role will be to enable the ongoing development and training of the team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- The leadership of employees within the identified region, including regular 1:1s and enabling their ongoing training and development to achieve business growth in line with the strategic plan.
- Drive the growth of the business forward, through a combination of on-project work and working with corporate customers as well as a strong focus on sales and marketing initiatives.
- Support and help implement the development of the Sustainability Team strategy and priorities, and participate, as required, with wider Promar managers/teams for future business growth.
- Take responsibility, alongside the Head of Sustainability for the management of a project portfolio and work with key accounts to ensure timely delivery and contribute to operating profit through project and program delivery across a range of sustainability clients.
- Responsible for planning, utilization, and coordinating logistics to enable economic and sustainable delivery of the Sustainability Team throughout the UK & Europe.
- Deliver c. £85K of income from project delivery and secure c. £120K of work through business development and proposal development with prospective and existing customers
- Experience or passion for managing people, with responsibility for managing turnover and staff utilization in the region
- Driving License to travel within the region (pre-planned)
- Degree or significant proven experience in Sustainability and/or Environmental Sciences or similar)
- Proven ability to lead, grow and develop business units with excellent negotiation skills and analytical ability
- Considerable knowledge of food, agriculture, and governmental customer sectors
- Demonstrable project management skills with the ability oversee multiple projects simultaneously
- Open-minded, curious and analytical approach with an interest in keeping up with the latest industry developments
