- Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail, the global and EMEA home of the group’s duty free, air travel and cruises business.
Your new team
This position sits in our Pernod Ricard UK (PRUK) business. The Pernod Ricard UK Communications department supports Pernod Ricard in its global and local objectives through enhancing and protecting the reputation of Pernod Ricard UK and The Gin Hub, its brands and its people. This is achieved via engagement strategies across Pernod Ricard UK’s stakeholder base which includes customers, consumers, politicians, local community, the media, cultural partners and employees. The Pernod Ricard UK Communications team’s responsibilities cover corporate communications, external brand communications, internal communications and Sustainability and Responsibility (delivery of the Group’s Sustainability & Responsibility (S&R) strategy, focusing on the environment and community impact projects.
Your unique contribution
You will have 3 main areas of responsibility:
1. Managing key S&R initiatives – you will lead on flagship S&R initiatives for the UK market, including project managing our ‘Bar World of Tomorrow’ sustainability training programme for bartenders, managing our ‘NetZeroNow’ initiative aimed at helping the drinks trade reduce its climate impact, leading on our ‘Drink More Water’ communications campaign as well as project managing ‘_SocialStarters’, our social enterprise mentoring programme. You will also support the S&R initiative of The Gin Hub, our global gin business, including owning our charity partnership with the Ocean Conservation Trust and collaborating on the development of Beefeater’s first ever brand-led Responsible Drinking campaign.
2. Delivering our S&R roadmap - including mobilising internal teams around key issues such as packaging and procurement, ensuring compliance with group guidelines and targets and managing internal S&R communications.
3. S&R committee - coordinate our quarterly S&R committee with a focus on the sustainability of our office environment.
Who you’ll be working with
Internally, you’ll work with our global S&R team, our EMEA & LATAM regional teams, The Gin Hub, our local S&R leaders in London, as well as a wide variety of business functions here in the UK, such as our Experiential team, Marketing, Commercial, HR, Public Affairs and Finance & Operations in order to deliver key initiatives.
Externally, your contacts will be our partners for sustainability projects, charities and communications agencies.
