Role title: Sustainability Data Analyst

Office location: Blackpool or Bristol

Employment type: Full time, Part time considered.

Salary: £25,000-£30,000 per annum

About the role

As a Sustainability Data Analyst within Optimised, you will be part of the Compliance team within the Consulting department. This role is responsible for providing support within the Compliance Section of the Consulting team, with the delivery of compliance engagements.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with an analytical background, interested in energy and the environment; to develop new skills within a growing, ambitious team whilst working for some of the UK's largest energy consumers.

What you’ll actually do

  • Manage Compliance engagements as part of a service delivery team including Climate Change Agreement (CCA) management, Energy Saving Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) compliance and Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR) reporting services and UK regulation for climate-related financial disclosure (based on TCFD) and other schemes
  • Drive meaningful insights from energy and sustainability data analytics and identify carbon abatement opportunities for clients
  • Further develop and evolve the SECR service for clients including integration of procedures and processes
  • Support with REGO (Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origins) and RGGO (Renewable Gas Guarantee of Origin) trading services
  • Liaise with account managers and keep clients updated with changes to schemes that may impact them.
  • Liaise with account managers to ensure they are updated with compliance status
  • Support and develop the net zero data management service with the Consulting team
  • Maintain awareness of legislative changes across UK climate regulation
  • Estimate data in a logical auditable method
  • Liaise with other team members if reports require modification
  • Liaise with clients to ensure data is received in a timely manner
  • Accurately log time against engagements in Kimble
  • Provide output that consistently meets needs of internal/external parties with minimal supervision.
  • Assist with any other duties deemed appropriate and necessary

  • Relevant experience in the energy or sustainability sector.
  • An analytical mindset with attention to detail
  • Excellent excel skills
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
