RJ Energy Consultants are a family run consultancy firm which provides expert building regulations and planning consultancy services for the built and sustainable environment. We work with a range of clients from local self-builders and architects to national developers, delivering high quality advice and accurate energy assessments.
Due to continued growth we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated sustainability consultant who is keen to develop their career and grow in line with the company. The successful candidate must have strong people skills and be able to build a good working relationship with our current clients while also helping grow the business by building further upon an already fast growing client base.
This will be home based role as no on site work is required.
Job responsibilities include:
- Liaising with clients
- Producing SAP/SBEM assessments and EPCs on projects throughout the UK
- Consulting on building designs to aid in compliance with Building Regulations
- Consulting on low energy projects, including assisting with Passivhaus projects.
- Writing energy statements and sustainable construction reports to aid planning applications
- Assisting with overheating assessments and thermal bridging analysis.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualification in OCDEA with additional NDEA qualification advantageous
- Two years’ experience in a similar role.
- Familiarity with building regulations throughout the UK in particular in relation to energy use (Scotland Section 6/England and Wales Part L).
- Good attention to detail and be technically minded.
Salary will be dependent on experience and qualifications.
