Job description
Chirashi is an ambitious newly launched restaurant concept with two branches in Reykajvik Iceland. One is located in an vibrant office and retail area in Reykjavik east, and the other is located in a brand new food hall, Hafnartorg Gallery, by Reykjavik harbour and the five star Edition Hotel. Chirashi serves the highest quality sushi, available as Made-to-Order or Grab-and-Go. The menu includes Musubu, maki rolls, Sashimi, Nigiri, tempura, sushi burrito and sushi tacos, with an emphasis on Chirashi rice bowls served with fresh sashimi and veggies.
Sushi Chef Responsibilities:
- Expertly cutting, slicing, and filleting different types of fish.
- Inspecting the quality of fruits, vegetables, and fish used to prepare sushi dishes.
- Preparing various types of sushi dishes according to established guidelines on quality, portion size, • Maintaining a clean work environment in order to prevent food contamination.
- Regularly taking inventory of food supplies and other products.
- Reporting any problems with kitchen equipment to the manager on duty.
- Sterilizing all utensils, instruments, and equipment used in sushi preparation before every use.
- Communicating with wait staff to ensure that special requests and food allergy considerations are met.
- Mass produce specific sushi rolls as well as specially order individual rolls, hands rolls, nori sushi tacos and sashimi cuts.
- Prepare sashimi, rice, and other sushi ingredients, as well as prepared each sushi order for customers.

Salary: £10.00-£15.00 per hour
