Bank opportunities - minimum of 15 hours availability required

As a Support Worker, you will provide support to service users to ensure their safety, health and wellbeing.
Duties will include:
· Supporting the service users with their hobbies and personal interests with an emphasis on helping develop skills, confidence and relationships
· To enable service users to build confidence, self-esteem and an independent lifestyle
· To support and involve the service users in all the usual domestic activities such as cleaning, shopping and cooking using methods of active support
· To support/ assist service users to manage their own personal care
· Attending appointments
· To act as a keyworker to individual service users
Personal specification:
· Willing and able to offer physical support to service users including personal care and manual handling
· Aware of issues affecting people with learning disabilities
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· The ability to work and contribute within a team
· The ability to work unsupervised and on own initiative
· Enthusiastic and motivated
