Job description
Are you looking for a role where you can give back and feel great about what you do to earn a living? We're looking for people that gravitate towards helping others, your friends would say you're reliable, thoughtful and dependable - these are exactly the qualities that make a Support Worker exceptional at their job!
We have community based work in Cowdenbeath.
This role consists of supporting a genltman in his own home with some aspects of daily living such as general housework, assisting with meals and medication prompting. The client likes to go on trips out and also walks in the local town for breakfast etc. Support is required from Friday 12:30pm - Monday 8am including sleepovers in the clients own home. We are looking for 1 or 2 Support Workers to work these hours or an individual who would be happy with these hours every weekend or every 2nd weekend.
We'll provide fully paid training and you could start work in less than 10 days! You'll also work towards recognised industry qualifications, and due to our growth, we have several career progression paths available - from nursing to operational management positions.
As a valued employee, you'll have access to WeCare - our new employee benefits platform which offers shopping discounts and cashback from over 800 retailers, as well as paid mileage, access to our employee assistance program, Healthcare Cashplan, Eyecare Plan and a wellbeing centre to support you with your mental and physical health.
What's it all about?
At Cera our mission is to revolutionise healthcare, giving our carers the technology and insights they need to provide the right care to every service user and act quickly when there's a problem - this improves well-being outcomes and reduces the need for hospital admission. We're proud that our technology and care teams reduce the burden on the NHS and that our carers are empowered to do the best job they can - sometimes in challenging circumstances.
You'll be visiting people in their own home - aiding them with daily personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, toileting needs and also around the house - whether that's helping with grocery supplies and a hot meal, or ensuring that things are tidy and safe around the home.
But that's not why their eyes will light up when you arrive. That'll be because of what you bring to their lives. Human company, reassurance and hopefully some fun. The people our care teams visit are those that need it most - and our service users and their families will never forget the support that you've offered them.
Working with us is not just about serving the community. It's about being one. You'll be working with people like you, who'll be there through the good times and the challenging!
