Circa £20,817 per annum
Full Time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week)

They are looking for a Support, Time and Recovery Worker to assist vulnerable service users, in a Floating Support capacity, in a range of issues which could include, but is not exclusive of:
- Managing their own accommodation successfully
- Maximising their income
- Exploring work or education opportunities
- Develop independent living skills
- To reduce social exclusion and maintain a presence in the community.

The main responsibilities in this STR Worker role is to provide time and support to services users on an individual basis. You will work within the ‘Recovery’ model to improve the quality of live and mental well-being, along with encouraging independent living skills and reducing social exclusion.
In this Support Worker role, you can expect to:
- To provide person centred, practical support and reassurance to enable service users to manage their accommodation successfully, to improve their quality of life and to maintain a presence in the community.
- To draw up individual support plans in partnership with each service user and to ensure that these support plans are re reviewed within agreed timescales, Support Plans to be implemented immediately from the commencement of support and updated regularly when goals are reached or other goals identified.
- To work within a recovery and outcome focused model of delivery to assist service users in meeting their stated aims, as detailed within each support plan.
- To liaise with a range of professionals, including but not exclusive of health, housing, benefits agencies, other support providers as appropriate.
- To provide the support perspective (as opposed to care perspective) when attending multi-disciplinary service reviews, care management reviews, etc.
To be considered for this STR Worker role, you will require the following experience/knowledge/skills:
- A relevant NVQ award or similar (desirable)
- Experience within the mental health sector
- Able to demonstrate an enabling approach to support work
- Able to assess the needs of potential or current service users
- Able to travel throughout the Sandwell area on a rapid response in an efficient and effective manner
If you can speak another language as well as English this would be advantageous.
