Are you the kind of person who sees opportunities where others see obstacles? Do you wish your work was your passion, not just a way to make money? Then join milestones Trust and begin your career in care.
Coronation Road provides homely accommodation for 6 older people who need support with their ongoing mental health needs. Our goal is to provide a safe and relaxing environment for the people we support, whilst supporting each person to live in a community-based setting.
We aim to provide service users with the opportunity to re-gain skills and develop new skills and qualities that promote empowerment and independence. We achieve this by building supportive relationships, education and participation in a recovery programme.
This is then balanced with the relationships individuals develop, social outlets and promoting individual identity and beliefs. We focus on service user wellbeing and personal growth, and work hard to communicate effectively, as part of ongoing recovery pathway.
From craft groups to computer courses, you will encourage peoples’ individual hobbies and interests, support them to meet with family inside and outside of the home, while encouraging independence, with some of the people we support cooking for themselves and booking their own appointments.
The shift pattern is mostly mid shifts (10:00-17:30) plus one sleep-in shift per week (16:30-12.00 sleep 07:00-14:30).
The successful Support Worker you will need to have a caring manner and a tolerant nature. You will promote rights, responsibility, identity and beliefs, be an effective communicator and understand the importance of confidentiality.
Experience in the sector is desirable but not essential, as you will be give full training to carry out your role.

- Company pension scheme, with Milestones matching employee contributions up to 3% to help grow your retirement pot
- Learning and development opportunities to help you to build your career, including a comprehensive induction programme, and the opportunity to undertake further qualifications
