WHAT TO EXPECT
You will lead a team of individuals who have a variety of contractual terms and conditions. Maintain legal obligations and keep site operations legally compliant. Assess the risk to the business based on a detailed level of local research and other security criteria. Mitigate the risk to the business through effective influencing of senior stakeholders, improvements to infrastructure, process improvements and control. Ensure the Corporate Security & Business Protection services are maintained to the highest levels though skills maintenance schedules by gaining a detailed understanding of service requirements within and external to Jaguar Land Rover. You will have an ethos that will ‘Protect the Future of JLR’ at the heart of everything you do.
You’ll ensure regular flow of communication related to business and site performance. Effective use of corporate and localised incident data and statistics used to compile local and organisation wide reports as well as identifying trends in order to combat and intervene at an early stage. Development, introduction and appropriate review of effective standard operating procedures (SOP's) in line with corporate policy. Maintaining and overseeing the day-to-day administration i.e., Overtime, Rota’s, Company AMP procedures.
You will have a hood working knowledge of Company disciplinary procedures. Ensure standards across the site remain at the highest levels, challenging and dealing with poor performance where appropriate. Managing personal development at a local level, manage Continuous Performance and CSBP Priorities and Objectives for team members and command and Control of incidents. Provide operational and back-up resource to the Site Manager and attend a variety of business meetings.
You will liaise with other Operational Leaders with regards to handover and day-to-day business. Build and maintain effective relationships with Security and Emergency Operations in order to set and deliver their objectives. Conduct daily / weekly audits to ensure that procedures are followed and that audit comments are avoided. Fire Safety Reviews conducted on a monthly basis for each area, Fire evacuation schedule conducted annually for each area and hot work permit controls in place to mitigate the risk of fire. Security patrols conducted at times deemed appropriate to mitigate against any security or loss risks. Manage schedules to ensure hydrants are tested on a quarterly basis, manage schedules to ensure sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems and intruder alarms are tested on a weekly basis and manage schedules to ensure all fire extinguishers are maintained and serviced on.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Must hold a Breathing Apparatus qualification underpinned by the National Occupational Standards- Must hold a FREC level 3 or higher.
