Home Instead are one of the UK's leading providers of care assistants and support workers for the elderly with over 249+ offices nationwide and we have a highly successful team of care professionals who visit our clients in their own homes, offering support and assistance where needed.
We are now looking for people who reside in Welwyn Garden or Hatfield locations or thereabouts, (also Borehamwood & Potters Bar), to join our wonderful team of Support Workers & Care Assistants.
We are recruiting new people who are seeking a career in Adult Care, to work in the community and who feel they have the right qualities to become one of our very special and supportive team members.
We are very interested in speaking to people who may not have previously considered starting a new career in Adult Care, but who now feel they have the wisdom, expertise, and common sense to embark on something fresh and new.
We really do not care about your age, or your previous work experience, as we believe life experience is more important. We do require that you have a car - this is essential to enable you to travel between clients each day. We also require you to be able to work on a Saturday and Sunday on alternate weekends. We cannot offer sponsorship to overseas candidates at this time.

Care Assistant and Support Worker responsibilities will include:
- Visiting multiple clients daily in the community and assisting them with daily tasks such as planning/preparing meals, running errands, help with bathing, dressing and light housework.
- Document using an app on your phone daily activities and report any significant changes in client needs or living conditions.
- Maintain regular communication with the line manager and office staff.
Requirements:
- Ability to assist and care for clients and their property with dignity and respect, making it meaningful.
- Willingness to seek guidance when needed and able to follow instructions.
- Excellent time keeping and organisational skills, and also very reliable.
- Full UK driving licence with a vehicle to use when visiting clients.
We offer:
- Real rates, averaging £13.00 per hour (basic between £11.00 & £22.00 per hour)
- Flexible work schedule ranging from 10-40 hours per week.
- Received work schedule 1 week in advance.
- Options of contracts to suit your requirements (e.g., flexibility or financial stability)
- Mileage Allowance of 30p per mile (payable conditionally from first client visit)
- For those with no care experience, paid 12-week training programme
- All carers are employees entitling you to holiday pay and pension scheme.
- Minimum of 1 hourly visits to client's homes, and 15-minute travel window between clients.
- Consistent visits, ensuring 1-1 relationships are built.
