JOB DESCRIPTION: SUPPORT WORKERS - KELSO CARE SUPPORTED LIVING SERVICES
SUPPORT WORKERS - REQUIRED FOR BOTH DAY AND NIGHT ROLES
Kelso Care are recruiting Support Workers for its Supported Living and Residential Care services. We have both Day and Night time roles , Full time, Part Time and Bank worker roles available.
We provide Support for adults with a range of diagnosis, including: Learning disabilities, Autism and Mental health. Experience working in a similar role is preferable but not essential. You will be supported to complete all required training including 'The Care Certificate' and Vocational Qualifications that give you the knowledge and skills to carry out this role to the highest standard.
We are looking for Support Workers who are passionate about delivering quality support and care. As a company we will invest in our staff by offering opportunities to grow and develop your competencies within your role. To take on additional areas of responsibility and get additional hourly pay.
You will be responsible for supporting the guys day to day in a wide variety of ways, including things like:
- support through reassurance and care
- support to access a variety of venues and activities
- supporting via monitoring well being
- supporting to access the wider community and open up opportunities for those we support
- supporting to attend medical appts
- supporting to arrange and participate in activities and things that are important and positive for that person
- supporting to prepare meals, plan and carry out shopping
- managing day to day finances
- supporting them to live in a comfortable environment that reflects that persons choices
The right candidates will be committed to delivering support in a way that reflects the need for professionalism and quality. You will be able to take the initiative in delivering support and will be supported by senior staff and managers within your role.
