Do you want to become a Support Worker with NCHA, an established Care & Support provider in Northampton, and start making a real difference to people’s lives?
As a Support Worker you will work as part of a team to deliver support to people in their own home including support with personal care and all aspect of daily living. You will offer support in a person-centred, holistic way, ensuring peoples safety and dignity is protected. You’ll be a key worker for named individuals, ensuring that risk assessments and support plans accurately reflect the individual’s needs and wishes.
Although the role will be challenging it will also be highly rewarding and you can go to work each day with the knowledge you’re making a difference to someone’s life.
Who are PST Northampton – What do they do?
PST Northampton consists of two services in Northampton – Saxon Court and Lyttleton Road. They both provide exceptional service for adults with a wide range of support needs including autism, learning disabilities, mental health issues, acquired brain injuries and behaviours of concern. We support individuals with activities of daily living, including maintaining their accommodation, prompting/supporting with personal care, food shopping and preparation and accessing the local community.
Do you thrive knowing you’ve made a difference in someone’s life?
Don’t sweat the small stuff:
- You don’t need to have experience in care as we will provide you with the required training to help you fully meet the needs of the residents. All you need is common sense, a ‘can do’ attitude, be willing to learn and share our values as an organisation.
- You don’t need to be a car driver as both projects are based in or around the town centre
All shifts will be on rota basis and will be spread across weekdays, weekends and bank holidays so you must be available to work on the rota. This includes nights; a generous bonus is paid for waking nights at 15%, which could add a significant amount to your monthly take home salary and double time paid for Christmas and New Year shifts.
We are happy for applicants to join us on a full time, 37 hour basis or on a part time basis at 22.5 hours or more as the service would be able to accommodate these working hours.
All successful candidates will be required to take a basic numerical and literacy as part of the selection process.
All correspondence will be via your registered email address.
