Salary: £18,965.93 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hrs per week (Mon-Sun including days, evenings, weekends, holidays)

This position will be subject to a cost of living increase with effect from 1st April 2023.

We are excited to recruit a full-time Support Worker to join our team in Leicester!

About the role

As a Support Worker, you will help people with mental health problems or learning disabilities in their home or out in the community. This might include motivating someone to eat healthily or visit the gym, or providing support to a person with emotional problems.

You will work in our supported living service in Leicester which support adults with learning disabilities . You will be passionate about ensuring the service we deliver is person centred in supporting our customers to develop their confidence, skills, and independence in their homes and in the local community. Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining their homes
  • Budgeting and shopping
  • Planning and preparing meals
  • Accessing activities in the community (study, volunteering, social/leisure activities)
  • Maintaining relationships with family and friends
  • Accompanying customers to appointments and/or on excursions
  • Laundry and housework
  • Support with medication.

About the candidate

We would love to hear from you if you are passionate about improving the lives of local, vulnerable people. We do not require you to have previous experience in support work as full training will be given.

  • Be flexible to work on a rolling rota
  • Be good at working on your own and within a team
  • Be excellent at communicating with people
  • Be able to complete good quality support records
  • Driving preferred but not essential
