We are now looking for people who reside in Welwyn Garden City & Hatfield locations or thereabouts, (also Borehamwood & Potters Bar), to join our wonderful team of Healthcare Support Workers & Care Assistants.

We are recruiting new people who are seeking a career in Adult Care, to work in the community and who feel they have the right qualities to become one of our very special and supportive team members.

We are very interested in speaking to people who may not have previously considered starting a new career in Adult Care, but who now feel they have the wisdom, expertise, and common sense to embark on something fresh and new.

We are also interested in hearing from people who are seeking an additional income and are struggling to meet their commitments. Ideally you will be able to offer us 16 hours or more each week.

Our job opportunities really suit people who need flexibility in their working patterns, so we are happy to discuss with you your individual availability and see if we can accommodate the hours you wish to work, if we can, we will! Mornings, afternoons and evening work, weekends or a mixture are available.

We do require that you have a car - this is essential to enable you to travel between clients each day. We also require you to be able to work your standard hours on a Saturday and Sunday on alternate weekends.

Job Description


Support Worker responsibilities will include:

  • Visiting multiple clients daily and assisting them with tasks such as planning and preparing meals, running errands, help with washing and personal care, light housework
  • Documenting all actions via an app on your phone and reporting any significant changes in client needs or living conditions, so we can act quickly to ensure clients safety and well-being.
  • Maintain regular communication with your line manager and office staff to ensure you are given support at all times.

Requirements:

  • Ability to care for clients and their property with dignity and respect, making it meaningful.
  • Willingness to seek guidance when needed and able to follow instructions.
  • Excellent time keeping and organisational skills, and also very reliable.
  • Full UK driving licence together with a vehicle to use on client visits.

We offer:

  • Real rates, averaging £13.00 per hour (basic £11.00 - £22.00 per hour)
  • No fixed shifts, flexible work schedule, based around your availability.
  • Work Schedule given 1 week in advance, so you know where you will be.
  • Options of contracts, depending on availability and suitability.
  • £0.30 pence per mile travel allowance.
  • Paid, Award Winning training and continuous professional development.
  • Minimum 1 hour visits.
  • Consistent visits, ensuring 1-1 relationships are maintained.
  • Paid holiday, pension.
  • Uplifted rates of pay for level 2 QCF and above qualified candidates.
