Hourly Rate: £12.11
The advertised hourly rate includes a supplement (JWC) to the base grade of the post. JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and /or working conditions of the role.

A market supplement of £0.72p per hour is also attached to this role and is included in the advertised hourly rate. This will be applied to both your basic salary and to any additional hours.

Local Government Reorganisation
Local Government in Cumbria has changed. The current six district councils and Cumbria County Council have now been replaced by two new unitary authorities - Westmorland and Furness Council and Cumberland Council.

About Extra Care Housing
Support older adults to live independently the way they choose. Extra Care Housing provides support to people living within an assisted living community everyone has their own home environment such as a flat bungalow or within a retirement village.

About this opportunity
As a Support Worker (Carer Care Worker Care Assistant) you will get the opportunity to know people individually and support their wellbeing through physical and emotional care. You may also assist with medication providing personal care and encouraging our people to achieve or maintain independence.

No experience or qualifications are needed to get started. We will help and support you with fully paid training and development - we are looking for the right people with the right qualities. This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS check with a Children's/Adults Barred List check.
