A support worker vacancy based at the Echo Centre in Liskeard. The post is for 37 hours per week, the working times are within the hours of 8.30am to 4.30pm.
The Echo Centre is a unique service for adults who have a physical disability or long-term health condition. The centre promotes independence; empowerment and rehabilitation, supporting individuals to re-learn or develop new skills. This is achieved through using a wide variety of activities and fun interactive sessions.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive person to join our team, someone with the right values, behaviours and attitudes that match our own!
The role is supporting clients to reach their full potential, and this will be achieved through a varied and diverse range of activities that you would be facilitating alongside other staff members and no two days are ever the same.
You will be supporting clients to manage and improve their self-esteem and empower them to become more engaged and confident in their everyday life, through activities such as exercise, singing, art and craft, quizzes, gardening etc.
You will need to have patience, humour and like being part of a lively, energetic team.

An NVQ level 2 or equivalent is required and a level of competency in computer skills using Microsoft Office is preferable. Training will be offered as part of this role.
