About the Job
We are looking for caring people who will join our small team. Part-time or full-time weekend staff member required. Starting from 6 hours. Enhance DBS essential.
Depending on experience and qualifications your pay would be valued at £12.40/an hour however you will have other benefits such as:

As a Carer, you could make a difference in people’s lives by helping them to live at home more independently, for longer.
We offer many services which include:
Cleaning:
- We do provide a cleaning service for some of our clients.
- Some people require ironing so we help with that too.
- We do not qualify as cleaners, but we help with everything we could to make life easier for our clients.
Personal care:
- This could be brushing our client's hair
- Or help them with the dressing
- Some of them will need help with showers however we are helping them with dignity in our minds. What does that mean? We try to help our clients keep them independent for as long as they can; therefore, we encourage them to wash any part of their body they can and help them where they can't reach. All our staff will be properly trained.
Companionship:
- Many people are lonely and isolated, especially during Covid and even now, therefore we are here for them.
- We will sit and chat with a drink (maybe even cake) reminiscing or chatting about the news or last night’s TV.
- We get to know our clients and also their families/friends as they need to trust us with their loved ones.
Shopping:
- We can go and do the grocery shopping or we can be there with them for that bit of support when they need it.
Hobbies:
- This is something we found out during our chats over a coffee, and then aim to get the client passionate about a past hobby, we have a few clients who love doing their art with us. Another one has rediscovered their love for cooking.
- A few of our gorgeous clients are passionate about music and love to play their instruments like guitar or piano for us or sing end even teach us some moves.
- Some of them may enjoy playing games which could be fun.
- It is amazing to be part of their life!

Food Preparation:
- We can prepare a meal for them, ensuring they eat a warm and nutritious meal.
Physical Needs:
- Stripping and re-making a bed is often too much for elderly people, we go and strip a bed, put on fresh bedding, and have a tidy round.
- Dustbins in and out and whatever else they needed.
Qualifications:
- When going into clients' homes a car and driving license is essential.
- NVQ1 or NVQ2 welcome
