Our truly bespoke and tailored interventions are built from a wealth of experience of working with children and adults who have suffered catastrophic neurological and poly-trauma injuries as a result of personal injury or medical negligence.
As the emphasis of our work is focussed on increasing independence and optimal quality of life for our clients and their families, we are seeking to employ a small team of dedicated Support Workers to work alongside our client and his family living in the Durham area of North East England.
Support Workers – flexible, part-time hours available.
Location:
Client’s home in Durham, North East England.
Salary:
£12.00 per hour during the week, £13.00 per hour at the weekend.

Hours
We are looking to recruit 1 x support worker to join our team supporting our client with an acquired brain injury. Hours of work will be 8am/6pm day shift, with the opportunity to pick up more hours if available.
The post includes weekends, and some Bank Holidays.
Main Place of Work:
Client’s home and community in Durham, North East England.
Reporting Structure:
You will be employed by the client’s deputy.
Background:
We are looking for a small team of motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible individuals with a commitment to supporting a 42-year-old gentleman with an acquired brain injury to enable him to lead a fulfilling and structured life.
Our client is completely mobile and currently needs limited personal care, however does need 24-hour support and supervision in his own home due to difficulties with fatigue which can cause falls and occasional low mood.
As part of the role you will be expected to undertake a range of duties to support our client and will work, to provide the highest standard of care.
Applicant must have a good sense of humour as he loves a joke.
You will also need to be an animal enthusiast as the client owns two gorgeous Shih Tzu dogs who will also need an adequate level of care with regards to walking and of course cuddling. Our client enjoys visiting farm shops in his local community, having a coffee, going to Bannatyne gym for his exercise program, local dog walks, reservoir fishing and also boat fishing trips at sea, metal detecting, family time and is a very keen gardener.
Our client enjoys shopping and also likes to go to Aldi once a week to do his personal shop.
He adores all animals and has a particular love for dogs, highland cattle and robins.
Essential experience:
· Experience of working with adults with an acquired brain injury.
· Confident about working in the client’s own home and sensitive to his needs and those of his family.
· Ability to work as part of a team.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Able to demonstrate an understanding of confidentiality and privacy and establish appropriate boundaries.
· Capable of building an open and trusting relationship with our client, his family, and the team.
· Advocate for our client’s well-being when appropriate to do so.
· Assist with promoting an engaging environment at home and in the community.

· Full driving licence (a car will be available to use).
Part-time hours: 15-20 per week
