Brief Job Description:
We are looking for Support Workers with experience in supported living services to join our care and support team in Walsall, West Midlands. This is a new role for people that have a history of caring for vulnerable people and experience of managing challenging behaviour.
The Support Worker will support male service users in their own homes providing the administration, care, catering, housekeeping, laundry and maintenance functions of our service.
They will need to maintain care, support and management skills at a current level, and undertake such training and development as may from time-to-time be required in order to progress their career.
The Support Worker will have a responsibility to deliver our service in accordance with standards agreed with the Registered Manager, Registered Provider, legislative requirements, relevant regulations, and in line with accepted best practice, and within the financial plans agreed from time-to-time with the Registered Provider.
Location:
Walsall, West Midlands
Working Hours:
Nominally 37.5 hours per week, subject to achievement of goals and objectives and the covering of vacant shifts.
Requirements:
Experience in managing challenging behaviour is required. Also significant experience in caring for vulnerable people.
A full programme of training will be offered to candidates who have the ability and enthusiasm to learn with a view to obtaining relevant QCF or equivalent vocational qualifications.
