We are looking for an experienced and creative candidate to fit into our team. A Senior Designer who wants real ownership and accountability for their work and is involved in all diverse aspects of Design; from traditional fitted libraries, to free-standing exterior superyacht deck furniture. Someone who relishes innovation and pushes the boundaries of possibilities. Able to communicate with both workshops and customers, producing the best quality designs and presentations.
The Role
- Working closely with the Creative Director
- Working alongside the Head of Operations to ensure key design details are met and should be prepared to remain actively involved in a project through the manufacturing process
- Responsible for all visual design stages through to completion by crafting visuals, hand sketches and renders for prospective and live projects. These visuals may include 3D models, animations and hand sketches
- Having a flexible way of working. The ability to present to a variety of audiences such as: Internal stakeholders, Workshops, Super Yacht Exterior Designers, Residential Interior Designers.
- Adaptable to communicate both with workshops and customers
- Liaising with the Marketing Department to provide assets for brochure and social media material
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficiency with CAD software and a strong interest in 2D and 3D design and renderings
- Strong creative and artistic drawing ability
- Educated to degree level in a relevant Design or Artistic field and/or a versatile portfolio with elegant product design examples
- Knowledge of and a passion for bespoke furniture making and a mindfulness of manufacturing when creating a design
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Quality in your work produced and a passion for excellent customer service
- Trust and honest in all dealings, going above and beyond for customers
- Fun and friendly attitude to fit into our team and create lasting relationships
Key details:
- Salary between £30k-£50k dependant on experience
- This Permanent position is available immediately
- Full time – Monday to Friday 9am-5:30pm
- Hybrid working between your home and our Lancaster office
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
