Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and innovative individual to join our team within a well- established supported accommodation programme in Sheffield. If you are creative, dynamic, committed and have something to offer us we wish to hear from you. Our programme offers support to a wide range of vulnerable men experiencing homelessness, to enable them to live independent lives in the community. More than just accommodation, we will provide a safe, secure and supportive environment in which residents can live fulfilling lives and where every individual will know that they are valued and respected.

Key Responsibilities:
The role of a Support Worker with The Salvation Army is an inspirational one, key to achieving successful outcomes for clients and the wider service. As a motivated and dynamic Support Worker you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality support service during to a small group of clients both in the Lifehouse and the wider community. You will liaise with clients and a variety of services to create personalised support plans which offer holistic support to meet clients’ needs and promote client choice and control. You will work both independently and as part of a team to address client issues and barriers to resettlement, enabling them to make positive life choices and ultimately empower them to lead more sustainable lifestyles. You will also complete day to day activities with the clients as well as administration tasks and reception duties to support the successful operation of the service.

The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
A commitment to the Christian ethos of The Salvation Army, competency in literacy, numeracy and ICT and a person-centred approach with a commitment to ongoing training and development.
