SUPPORT WORKERS
- REPRESENT THE COMPANY
- To work in partnership with a range of voluntary, statutory and community
agencies where necessary.
- Represent the company in a positive manner at internal/external events.
- To attend meetings, record accurate minutes and provide home manager with a copy.
- TIME MANAGEMENT
- To manage own time and tasks effectively i.e. complete all required tasks for each shift.
- Update appointments and meeting records and snd to your home manager every Sunday.
- Ensure all actions from monthly inspections are completed within 10 days
- ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS
- Ensure that these are undertaken with each resident on a daily basis and that these are recorded and placed in resident’s file and copies are sent to management for their records at the end of their shift.
- Ensure engagement record is updated.
- INDEPENDENCE TRACKERS/ WEEKLY SUMMARIES
- To complete these on a daily basis recording appropriate information to provide evidence.
- Ensure that young peoples weekly summaries are updated at the end of your shift.
- SUPPORT
- To adhere to identified plans of support including risk assessments. Needs assessments
- To complete the ‘Developing Independence’ document when work has been undertaken or observed with residents pertaining to this document.
- To act as an advocate for residents in a variety of situations/circumstances
i.e. further education, training providers, potential employers.
- To complete young peoples weekly planners every Sunday, record all daily tasks, engagement sessions, appointments, meetings.activities
- UPKEEP OF RESIDENT’ S FILES
- Ensure residents files are well maintained i.e. returning items to the correct sections.
- INCIDENT REPORTS
- These are completed in as much detail as possible within 24hrs.
- DAILY HEALTH AND SAFETY CHECKS/ FIRST AID/ FIRE SAFETY CHECKS
- Ensure these are carried out on a daily basis and are accurate.
- HAVE FULL UNDERSTANDING OF SAFEGUARDING PROCEDURES
- Knowledge of what actions to take in any given scenario.
- CLEANING
- The cleaning duties of the day are carried out to a good standard.
- RECORDING PROCEDURES
- Ensure that all daily recording procedures are completed and signed.
- All risk assessment are read, signed and followed.
- All TSS folders are read and staff signature sheets are signed.
- All daily tasks to be completed inline with the homes shift checklist/ daily management sheets.
- POLICY AND PROCEDURES / EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK
- To follow these procedures without deviation i.e. contact management in timescales outlined regarding sickness.

Salary: £10.42-£11.50 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Birmingham: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
