Job description
CAD Operator
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a talented CAD operator to work with a design team on commercial construction fit-out projects.
As a CAD operator you will be an integral member of the design team working closely with Clients, Architects, and fellow contract department staff, at the concept, design and construction stages to develop effective solutions which meet project objectives.
The role will include attending internal & external meetings with project stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to develop and progress within the company and become a pivotal member of the team.
Main responsibilities: -
- Use AutoCAD and Revit software to create accurate and detailed workshop drawings, based on the product specifications, for approval by the Client.
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D workshop drawings, plans and diagrams that include dimensions, materials, and other relevant information necessary for the Manufacturing Department.
- Translate conceptual designs into technical drawings, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with architects and other interested parties to understand project requirements and incorporate changes and modifications as required
- Review drawings for errors, inconsistencies, and compliance with established standards, making necessary corrections and modifications.
CAD Operator requirements
- Possess a strong command of CAD software and must have a minimum of 2 years AutoCADand Revit experience.
- Have a good understanding of architectural and design principles to accurately interpret and translate conceptual designs into technical drawings.
- Display a willingness to learn new CAD software, techniques, and industry standards; staying up-to-date with industry advancements to enhance skills and improve productivity.
Benefits:
- Competitive Salary - £27,000 - £32,000 – dependent on experience, plus
- 4½ work days with 39 hours per week
