We are currently seeking a Support Care Workers to join our motivated team providing the daily care of our residents. These are 12 hour shifts at £9.20 per hour. We are looking for someone flexible to work across and Days and Nights as needed.
Dovetail House is a 20 bed residential care home, for adults with Mental Health conditions, Brain injuries and specialize in Huntington's. We are looking for a friendly, motivated individual to join our team.

SUPPORT WORKER
The post holder is responsible for meeting the needs of the residents in our care. To work under the direction of the senior staff as a member of the multidisciplinary team in the care, guidance, and supervision of the service users.
Role Definition:
The Support Workers are part of a team, assisting with the care of service users and with the maintenance of a safe, warm, clean and comfortable environment. The Support Worker. supports all other members of the multidisciplinary team in the implementation of rehabilitation programmes.
Duties: The Support Worker works as a team member under the direction of the manger and assists in assessing service users’ physical, psychological and social needs. The Support Worker . assists with the maintenance of a safe, comfortable, quiet, clean environment for service users, staff and visitors and will assist in performing some administrative and housekeeping duties.
Provide recreational, leisure and conversational support and activities in liaison with the Activities Coordinator, with awareness of the general need for good communication with service users and their visitors.
PERSONAL CARE AND SUPPORT;
Assist service users to maintain their daily routines including; grooming and taking pride in their appearance, moving and re-positioning; understanding the correct methods and equipment for safe moving & handling, assisting with independent mobilization; support maintenance in cleanliness of the unit, reporting all defects immediately. Participate in the promotion of a healthy lifestyle. Behave in a kind and considerate manner to service users, visitors and staff. Assist service users at mealtimes, support with activities in the community, in liaison with the Activities' Coordinator. Report any accidents or incidents occurring to service users/visitors/staff to the shift leader. Carry out any other appropriate activities at the discretion of the senior in charge.
Training:
- To be up to date with recent development within their vocational area and attend relevant courses to continually update your skills and underpinning knowledge. N.V.Q. is a pre-requisite of the care profession.
