We care for adults aged 19 - 60 who have learning difficulties and Mental Health issues. OUR SERVICE AND PEOPLE WE SUPPORT

We are looking for Support workers to join our well established team. Service we are recruiting for is supported living accommodation situated in a private and quiet residential area of Exeter. There are excellent transport links to surrounding areas of East Devon. Service has close access to the town centre and the seafront. People we support have individual and different Support needs, where Personal Care each day is required. During the day, Staff support the clients to access the community or attend appointments. When they access the community, they are either going shopping at the local supermarket or into the town centre to get a coffee. During Mealtimes, there is a mixture of support needed for each client. This can be from prompting the Client to cook a meal themselves to preparing and cooking the meal for them. Also, there is times where a member of staff would have to support someone displaying challenging behaviour. People we support are very social and chatty so will engage with new members of staff straight way.

THE ROLE

This role include support with day-to-day tasks in the home and in the community - it may be supporting our residents going out in the morning and taking them to an activity in the afternoon. Assisting them to get ready in the morning, helping with shopping, cooking, or cleaning.

You will find yourself getting stuck into fun, long walks, outdoor educational trips, and an interactive and practical hands-on activity.

You will be required to work weekends and evenings
