Priory Adult Care is the UK’s leading independent provider of specialist adult care services. Our aim is to provide the right support in the right home for all the individuals we accommodate.
We are currently looking to grow our already established and dedicated team of support workers at our site Bowden Lodge. It is a mixed placement service for people requiring specialist support for mental health, personality disorder and a secondary diagnosis learning disability.
Located in Sheffield, Bowden Lodge is a home for residents who no longer require hospital level care, yet continue to present a level of risk that requires fully supported and staffed accommodation. The service provides an integrated step down service from hospital, locked rehabilitation and crisis admissions for individuals who need emergency placements for a short while, or step up from the community. within the role you will be required to provide the highest standard of person centred support and care to the people who use our service, maintaining dignity and respect, enabling them to lead as independent lives as possible and realise their potential whilst ensuring own actions and behaviour comply with corporate policy and local procedures, statutory regulations and quality standards.

As a support worker, you will have the opportunity to be part of 1000s of stories of inspiring care and support for our residents.
As a support worker you will be supporting our residents with their day to day lives, encouraging them to live as independently as possible. You may get involved in exciting activities outside of the home too – our residents participate in day trips, charity events and much more!
Our ideal support worker will:
- Be reliable, friendly and caring to help our residents achieve their everyday goals (including personal care)
- Be able to support in house activities and hobbies
- Be attentive and inspire our residents to achieve more!
- Be resilient and help manage some behaviours that challenge
Whilst drivers are able to take residents out and about, you don’t need to be a driver to work here – we employ many non-drivers too!
