Positive Steps Care & Support ltd are looking for passionate and experienced support workers to join our fantastic organisation.
This role would require individuals to be enthusiastic and willing to provide support to people who use our service, to enable them to access their communities, in addition to this to provide the assistance they may need with all aspects of their daily needs. Due to the nature of Positive Steps Care & Support every day is different and we aim to provide support to enable staff to safely carry out their work.
We have available positions, working with people with varying complex needs. The hours vary from school hours to longer days.
To enable support, responsibilities will include:
· Supporting the person with everyday duties, this could include personal care, meal preparation and light cleaning duties.
· Supporting the person with any access needs, such as day trips with service users/ helping them to access the community.
· Working in accordance with the expectations and policies of Positive Steps and the expectations of the people who use our service and companies we support.
Requirements for the position:
The attributes we are looking for in a successful candidate include;
· A person who is positive, enthusiastic, compassionate and a friendly individual to help support the people who uses our service, you need to be prepared to take on duties required by the service users.
· A minimum of 6 months experience within health and social care, ideally with knowledge and experience of acquired brain injury, learning disability and mental health. However, transferable skills and personal experience will be considered.
· A full clean driving licence is preferred for this role. However, not essential.
