Job description
. To Support adults with learning disabilities within their home and within their community, as well as activities outside of the home.
To support adults with learning disabilities to reach their highest potential as chosen by them.
. To recognise the individual needs of each client, completing care plans, call logs and risk assessments.
. To always observe the confidential side of the job role and encourage the development of individual rights and responsibilities.
. To read and understand relevant policy documents and ensure their implementation.
. To report any complaints by or on behalf of the client to the manager.
. Report any health and safety hazard immediately to the manager.
. Report any accidents, illnesses, and untoward incidents to the manager.
Range of duties
. Offering guidance to clients.
. Assist with personal care.
. Assist with shopping and collection of benefits, money management and budgeting.
. Assist to prepare meals, shopping, menu plans.
. Assist with laundry and household tasks.
. Assist with mail reading, understanding and form filling.
. Prompt or administer medication in line with policy procedure and care plans.
. Assist with other tasks deemed suitable by the manager.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 16-36 per week
Salary: £10.42-£11.00 per hour
