Part time Support Worker Weekend Vacancies

We are looking for caring people to join our learning disability respite service to support people with learning disabilities at the weekends. We have a variety of hours on offer with early shifts running from 0730 – 1530 and late shifts running from 1330 – 2130.
Our service is rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), and our friendly and professional team delivers high-quality person-centred support. We offer training and coaching in addition to a wealth of in-team experience to help you gain the specific skills you’ll need.
You will have excellent communication skills and relationship building and be able to communicate well both verbally and in writing.

Role Responsibilities- To deliver personalised care and support to people with a range of support needs, this may include people with learning disabilities, and/or complex health/physical needs
- To record information using IT systems as well as giving verbal and written handovers and feedback to colleagues, families and other professionals.
- To complete all mandatory and additional training identified as required, this will include safeguarding vulnerable adults, moving and handling and supporting with medication.
- To provide support in line with individual care plans, reporting changes in a person’s needs, and following instruction from Team leaders and Operational managers.
- Someone who is kind and wants to make a difference to the lives of others.
- Observant and will identify risks and changes in a person that need to be reported.
- Can communicate well both verbally and in writing.
- Is flexible and has a positive approach.
