About The Role
LCC is committed to providing an excellent person centre approach for the people we support. At Stamford Day Centre we provide day opportunities predominantly to older adults and adults with learning and physical disabilities. As a support worker, you will work as part of a team offering a variety of activities, both on site and in the local community. This can include developing the gardens and vegetable patch, baking cakes and making simple meals, arts and crafts to sell or if you have a passion or hobby, turning this into an activity for others to enjoy. The role includes supporting with personal care, the use of moving and handling equipment, supporting with independent living skills and using our online systems to record/update paperwork and information.

Stamford Day Centre is a small and friendly established team looking to grow. We love to get the best out of people and are passionate about supporting them, and the Centre, to become part of the Stamford local community. We take pride in welcoming any new member who joins us supporting them to settle in as quickly as possible
The team work hard to ensure everyone they support are at the centre of everything they do.
About You
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with others and is keen to learn and develop with our support. If you have a hobby or special interest, you can share this with the people we support, share your passion and enthusiasm and watch people grow from this.
Our ideal candidate would have the following qualities.
- Enthusiasm and the ability to think ‘outside the box’
- Passion for making a difference in peoples lives
- A flexibly approach and a commitment to focusing the person and their strengths
- Empathy and advocacy for the people we support.
Applicants must hold English and Maths GCSE Grade C-A* or an equivalent level 2 qualification OR be willing to work towards this level.
