If you have a background in support/care work, great, however, you don’t need a background in care to become a Support Worker Life Practitioner, just a caring approach and passion for helping others.
About The Role
As a Support Worker Life Practitioner you’ll be an integral part of the team, teaching young people life skills in context and support them to integrate these skills. We’ll give you all the training you’ll need.
You’ll contribute to and promote the development of young peoples’ communication, self-help, and independence skills - undertaking actions devised by other specialist colleagues, such as speech therapists and educational psychologists and providing feedback on sessions. Plus, support individuals with maintaining and improving their health and supporting emotional needs, always promoting increased independence.
Supporting and encouraging the young people to flourish and grow in their environment is key, in both in the home setting and education setting – Life Practitioner’s participate in a wide range of innovative and exciting recreational activities such as trips to the Safari Park or local restaurants.
Our new care model is ground breaking.
Meaningful life is our innovative new model – an industry first. Providing care and education to people we support is at the centre of all our decision making, with the ambition to enable them to fulfil their most meaningful life.
We bring all our specialist teams together from education, therapies and care and put the people we support right in the centre of our family of experts to deliver a meaningful life.
Our meaningful life model is ground breaking for our colleagues too.
We offer flexible hours to suit your family life – Part-time, full-time and days or nights.
Choose your career pathways and we’ll help build your skills to get you there.
Pay progression recognising your professional development and career progression.
Many of our senior leaders have been promoted from support roles and we’ve supported them along the way.
We’ll pay and support you to learn new skills and to pass your care diploma.
