OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB
To provide Club Members and visitors a friendly, positive and welcoming experience at The Bourne Club and to support the Club’s Aim, Vision, and Values at all times. The Club Assistant is the key link between the Member and the Club and must fulfil the role by promoting the Club’s services and delivering them using the Club’s procedures and systems. The information below outlines the principal duties related to this role and is not an exhaustive list of tasks.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To support the Club’s Aim, Vision, Values and key business objectives.
- To develop a clear understanding of the range of Bourne Club Members and their needs.
- To deliver consistently high levels of customer service, promote the Club’s facilities, services and products and ensure that the Club Values are reflected in all aspects of interactions with users of the Club.
- To adhere to and support The Clubs objectives regarding equal opportunity, social inclusion and the privacy.
- To engage with Members to identify needs that could be satisfied with Club services or products and to identify new products or services that may be of interest to Members by ‘upselling’.
- To contribute to the delivery of turnover, profit and expense targets within budget.
- To manage customer feedback and complaints in a professional and positive manner and to promote and protect the Club’s reputation and image at all times.
- To carry out such other duties as may be required from time to time by the management.
CLUB OPERATIONS
The Member experience is extremely important to the Club.
- To carry out reception, bar and café duties as required to achieve responsive and positive levels of customer service (Over 18's only).
- To deal personally with enquiries and approaches from all Club users in a friendly and positive manner whether in person, by telephone, email or social media.
- To prepare and serve food and drink
- To comply with H&S and Food Handling/Hygiene requirements and maintain required records.
- To ensure that the Club inbox/emails/telephone queries are responded to/redirected to right person appropriately.
- To carry out housekeeping and cleaning routines to maintain Club cleanliness and presentation standards.
- To comply with H&S and maintain COSHH required records.
- Assist in the transformation of Club facilities for Club activities. (putting up or taking down tennis net, setting up or taking down chairs and tables, Etc…)
- To maintain effective displays of promotional and informational materials and to promote Club services, events and facilities to meet Member needs.
- To be aware of and work towards better sustainability and wastage.
- Take part in our training programmes.
- To ensure court/programme bookings are taken in accordance with Club policy.
- To cross-check deliveries against delivery notes and store such goods securely.
- To follow opening and closing procedures.
- To effectively use the handover book.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract
Part-time hours: 24 per week
Salary: £9.50-£10.00 per hour
