Support Worker
Eric Patrick Care Group are a supported living provider in the London, Kent, Sussex, and Surrey area. We are opening 3 brand-new unit at the end of May in Croydon, South East London, Bromley, and we are recruiting for experienced Support Workers to join the team. Our service users are aged between 16-25 and are semi-independent. We require Support Workers who can work long shift patterns our shifts run from 10pm to10am with a sleep in, we also occasionally have 12-hour shifts running from 10am - 10pm and waking night shifts from 12am - 10am. Could this be you? To be a Support Worker at Eric Patrick Care, you will have experience in working with young people and supporting service users with complex mental health needs. You will be confident in passing on life skills to encourage independent living from our Service Users. Whilst the role has its challenges, the results you will see from the young people you work with are incomparable. Using life skills, you will have the opportunity to make a huge difference within a young person’s life. Helping them to overcome any difficulties or disadvantages they may face - allowing them to strengthen their future. You will meet a variety of young people, some of whom may require high levels of supervision and support. Why work for Eric Patrick Care? What will you be doing?? You will be assisting the service users with day-to-day tasks (washing clothes, shopping, ironing, job search, college applications)? You will accompany the service users out in the community (doctor’s appointments, leisure activities)? You will complete daily logs and weekly reports? You will partake in Key work with the service users to encourage independent living? You will follow structured reporting procedures? You will liaise with social workers? You will be following safeguarding procedures
