Support Worker, Sandwell Council, Youth Offending Team - Must be a Support Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK experience within a YOT Social Work team
Our client is looking for a support Worker with 2 years+ UK experience within a YOT team
The responsibilities will include:
- YOS Case Workers play a vital role in the Youth Offending Service, offering support to essential areas such as Youth Court and Statutory Court Orders
- Manage and support high risk young people on a daily basis in partnership with the police and other colleagues with in the Trust
- Case Managers work with the family and the young person on a lone working basis and have to have the necessary skills to manage the young persons risk to the public while being mindful of their vulnerabilities
- Complete assessments to YJB standards, deliver direct work, as well as producing Court reports for Youth Court
- 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation)
- Immediate Start
- 6 Month Temporary Contract
The successful candidate will need to hold an NVQ3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent, have a current DBS and be a car driver.
