Creative Support is looking for a warm, reliable and proactive Support Worker to join our friendly and passionate staff team in Blackburn, Lancashire.
We are looking for enthusiastic, person centred people to join our friendly and experienced team. This 24 hour supported accommodation based rehabilitation service provides outcome focused support to individuals with Mental Health/and or/ substance misuse rehabilitation needs. Using the recovery model along with our wellbeing sessions and signposting, we aim to prevent admission to hospital and to support people back to independence in their own homes in their local community.
This is an ideal position for someone looking for a unique opportunity to further their career in Mental Health Services, with an added opportunity to work in and alongside our Learning Disability Supported Living Services, with whom we work closely and where you will also be given opportunities to gain experience and expected to support.
Your role will include:
- Providing care, administering medication and helping with other domestic tasks such as cooking and cleaning,
- To administer, monitor and liaise with community psychiatrist and GP when medication review is necessary
- To encourage social inclusion and accompany to groups in the community where needed.
- Developing warm and trusting relationships with service users and their families enabling them to enjoy their time at the service to the fullest.
