Due to our clients on-going success and development they have requested our assistance in filling their temporary vacancies.
They urgently require Support Workers to work at their Mental Health and Learning Disability’s services in the Caerphilly area
You will be reporting to the Registered Manager providing person centred care, enabling tenants to live as independently as possible within their home and the wider community.
Also responsible for supporting the team with the wide range of duties that need to be achieved.
- Lead by example, behave and communicate appropriately at all times.
- Positively contribute to the personal development of our tenants with both practical and emotional support.
- Using knowledge and experience, contribute positively to care planning and participate supportively in reviews as requested, demonstrating a sound knowledge regarding nutrition and hygiene.
- Maintain accurate, clear and concise record keeping.
- Take ownership for key-worker duties and where appropriate look to develop and strengthen links with families, friends and relevant significant others.
- Attend and contribute positively to regular staff meetings and hand-over meetings.
- Participate in a shift rota (which may include sleep-ins) as requested by Management
- Demonstrable experience supporting individuals with a learning disability and associated health conditions, with particular emphasis on autism and challenging behaviour
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to include computer literacy
