For this role you will receive a starting salary of £10.90 per hour / £22,733.04 per annum (pro rata for part time) plus £67.75 per shift when you work a Sleep-In.

When you successfully complete your 6 months Probationary Period or Register with Social Care Wales, this will increase to £11.05 per hour/ £23,045.88 per annum (pro rata for part time).

If you already have a relevant Social Care qualification, or if you are Registered with Social Care Wales, your salary will start at £11.05 per hour/ £23,045.88 per annum (pro rata for part time) plus £67.75 per shift when you work a Sleep-In.

Once employed, when you have gained the appropriate experience, skills and qualifications, we would also love you to apply for our Lead Support Worker programme which pays the higher rate of £11.55 per hour (when you work directly with the people we support). This equates to a salary of up to £24,088.68 per annum (pro rata for part time).

The Lead Support Worker Programme offers you the opportunity to further develop your experience, skills and knowledge via workplace learning and a comprehensive training programme, enabling you to progress within the organisation into management roles.

As a valued member of our team you will also be entitled to a range of benefits, including:

  • £500 joining bonus for new employees, excludes Casual Support Workers. The payment is pro rata for part time employees. £250 pro rata will be paid when your employment formally commences and £250 pro rata when you successfully complete your Probationary Period.

You will be required to:

- work a variety of shifts on a rota basis including days, evenings, weekends, wakeful nights, public holidays and sleep in duties.

- hold a full current driving licence which allows you to legally drive in the UK is also required

- have Business Class 1 vehicle insurance.

COVID-19 considerations:
All Support Workers work within Welsh Government and Public Health Wales guidance and are provided with Lateral Flow Test kits and full PPE.
