Since the early days, we’ve grown to provide many innovative and bespoke care services to thousands of people across England and Scotland. We want to provide support based on the principles of choice, dignity and respect. This resonates in our vision of ‘Your Life, Your Choice’ and our strategy ‘Best Lives Possible’.
We have strong values and we’re proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. In the past two years, we have won or made the shortlist for over 100 national and regional awards!
We are also focused on our people. Our Support Workers are dedicated and passionate about going ‘the extra mile’ for the people we support and in return, we go the extra mile for them by investing in pay, recognition, wellbeing and continued professional and personal development. We will provide you with all the training, support and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us.
Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
- This is home to a 39 year old female.
- I am non-verbal and I have a diagnosis of Learning Disabilities, Autism and Tourette’s.
- The team that support me are patient, good at encouraging different adventures in life and who will support me in leading my Best Life Possible. I get on well with those in my support team who are kind, patient, respectful of my need for low stimulation and also guide me to make healthy choices. I do not like people who shout, do not understand me and will not communicate with me.
- I am proud of the different things I have achieved, such as cooking my meals and making more healthier choices. With little prompting, I am independent in my own home with household chores.
- I like to go to the day ops centre in Thatto Heath, where I do different activities such as arts and crafts. When the weather is nice, I like using water balloons as they make me laugh when they pop on the ground. I like going for long walks and also for a drive around in a car. I enjoy going on public transport.
- I really enjoy celebrating events throughout the year especially Birthday and Christmas! I get very excited and I love putting decorations up and getting dressed up in costumes for Halloween. I show my excitement through smiling, laughing and taking part.
- I get along with people who are patient, kind and respectful. I need female only staff as I may require personal care support. I need a team that will support me 24/7. Knowing that you are there is reassuring to me.
Your values:
Naturally it is important too that you share our company values - We Include; We Deliver; We Aspire; We Respect; We Enable, which are at the heart of everything we do and ensure that we deliver high quality, consistent care and support.
