Chaffinch House is a 5 bed residential Mental Health Care Home in Bury that works with vulnerable adults that are currently unable, to return to a personal home. Every adult will require support with Mental Health and or Learning Disabilities. We are currently looking to hire, lone working, Support Workers that have experience working with and want to progress a vocation working alongside adults with challenging behaviours and really be able to support the daily care required to enable reablement, independence and the ability to live a more fulfilled life.
This will really support care workers that thrive in an environment where emotional support is the priority over the physical support.
- You will work as part of a team to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our clients to live
- Assist clients with tasks such as cleaning, shopping, budgeting, and household tasks that promote their independence.
- Support clients to achieve their personal goals, including their physical health, relationship building and managing their mental health.
- Update and assist clients in the progress of their personal support plans.
- Support residents with taking their medication.
- Introduce clients to leisure activities, new interests, education, or volunteering and support them to attend events or appointments.
You need to be Patient, resourceful, great at listening, practical and demonstrate that you are caring, compassionate and have a genuine interest in working with individuals in mental health crisis.
We currently need 2 Support Workers that can work 25 hours per week.
Hours include:
9am - 5pm
5pm to 9am
£25 per sleep in
Pay from April 1st will be:
£10.90 per hour
