We are looking to recruit a full time Mental Health Support Worker to work in our residential care home and supported living services in Plymouth supporting adults with enduring mental health needs, learning difficulties and other complex needs. Some residents may have a forensic history.
This is a varied and interesting role that would suit someone who would like to progress in their career in the social care sector or someone who has never worked in the sector but has life experience and compassion.
The successful applicants will be required to work day, evening and sleep in night shifts across a rolling Rota. Additional payments for unsociable hours and overtime.
We offer a wide range of training opportunities and the option to study for the Diploma Level 3 or Manager Level 5 in Health and Social care.

Role and responsibility
The role is to provide care and support to adults who have an enduring mental illness and/or a learning disability. Based in Plymouth, you will be able to work individually and as part of team to help our clients to achieve their goals and live as independently as possible.
The successful applicant will demonstrate care, compassion and an understanding of the needs of people who suffer with mental illness. The person will need to provide two satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check.
