Beaumont helps people in their own homes with domically care calls, live-in care support and provisions of full complex care packages and as such require a varied workforce to manage this.
The role of a support worker is to provide a specialist service to service users with their health and social care needs. They are required to have knowledge and skills to care for people with a wide variety of care conditions. Along with the knowledge and skills you must possess an empathic attitude and adhere to the 6C’s to be able to deliver compassionate care and aid with enhancing their quality of life.
The care will be provided in the patient’s own home and give the support worker the opportunity to better understand the service user, enhance patient and family relationships with direct involvement in a homey environment unlike a traditional clinical setting. The care provided will be in the service users home, skill and knowledge of driving will also be required. This is a fulfilling role where your skills and experience will be beneficial to deliver an outstanding and compassionate care and support to our service user and make a difference in their lives.
The ideal applicant should hold extensive skills and knowledge in providing hands on critical care. The ideal person will require to have at least an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or relevant previous experience. Some of the skills and knowledge required will be the following.
· Managing People with a range of healthcare needs such as Autism, Learning Disabilities, Epilepsy and Challenging Behaviors
· Provide support and care in accordance with Clients individual care plans
· Ensuring detailed care notes and feedback is given to the office team
· Offer flexibility to working schedules to ensure continuity of care
A variety of shift times are available across the entire Buckinghamshire region.
RATES OF PAY:
From £10.92-£11.32 per hour Enhanced rates on public holidays
