Support Worker

Location: Pelican Court (Maidstone)
Hours of Work: Full-Time / 40 hours per week (must be willing to work at least 1/2 sleep-in shifts per week)
Salary: up to £21,673.60 approx annual salary -not inclusive of any overtime etc £10.42 per hour

Plus £62 per night sleep-in rate and overtime hours available

Based in Maidstone, Kent, Pelican Court is a housing complex that provides support individuals with Autism, Learning Disabilities, and mental health conditions.

  • Flat 1 and 2 are separate flats that share a garden
  • Flat 3 and 4 are separate flats that share a garden
  • Bungalow 5 - two residents share a kitchen, lounge, bathroom and garden

About the Role:

At Aspens we work across Kent and Sussex; supporting individuals with autistic spectrum conditions, learning disabilities and physical disabilities.

Along with your general caring responsibilities (including some personal care and assisting those with physical disabilities or mobility issues) your role will include supporting with many exciting activities such as baking or painting, as well as other activities out in the local community, supporting with shopping, attending local clubs or going on other fun days out.

Whatever your personal interest or passion may be, you will be able to bring this to your role at Aspens, using this to create meaningful connections with those you support and ensuring that every day is fun for the both of you!

About You:

Whether you have years of care experience or no experience at all, if you are a caring person, passionate about empowering others and ready to learn new skills we think you would be a fantastic fit for our team.

Because this is a community-based role, it would be largely beneficial for you if you have a full, clean driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
