Hours of work: 9.00am 5.30pm - Monday Friday
Qvis Lighting and Security is a family-owned business based in Havant, Hampshire and is a leading provider of CCTV & LED lighting products thats distributed predominately through the electrical wholesale channel.
We are looking for someone with a strong general and wide-ranging knowledge of PC operating systems, application software, PC hardware, peripherals, and networking. The ideal candidate will have natural troubleshooting abilities, care about delivering quality support in a timely manner, and be equally comfortable working with users and technology. We have a mission to improve the delivery and use of technology within the business and for our customers.
Job Role Responsibilities:
- Act as a primary contact point for user support activities
- Manage problems and requests raised by users using JIRA Service Desk in a timely manner
- Transfer tickets to the specialist in-house business applications and eCommerce support teams where appropriate
- Directly deliver support and solutions to users
- Recognise recurring problems and requests from across the IT landscape and propose solutions that can reduce or eradicate them
- Set up user workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices
- Install and configure appropriate software according to agreed specifications
- Provide guidance to users on how to operate their computer
- Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and find resolutions to problems
- Process new user requests and manage the modification or disable existing accounts
- Basic data entry of new account requests for companies website and app
- Build and maintain telephony reports using the BT Cloud Work reporting platform
- Maintain the BT cloud telephony platform and managing the setup and removal of accounts when necessary
- Monitor the office network and relaying issues to managed service providers when necessary
- Maintenance of printers for all departments
- Project work when required
Requirements / Experience:
- Good networking and Microsoft server knowledge
- Good appreciation of internet security and data privacy principles
- Ability to prioritise tasks and deadlines
- Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
Desirable:
- SAP functional experience
- End User Support / Service Desk experience
- Active Directory, Exchange, Print and File Server experience
