We are currently seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our Computing Division.
In this role, you will provide 1st and 2nd line IT support within the IT Service Desk & PC Support environment. You will work closely with end users and other IT areas to identify and resolve problems, provide hardware and operating system support, and contribute to the development of efficient processes and procedures.
Responsibilities:
· Deliver 1st and 2nd line IT support for staff on-site and remotely
· Provide hardware support for computer platforms, including PCs, laptops, and tablets
· Support Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, and Linux operating systems
· Assist with imaging and application deployment using SCCM, WDS, Endpoint, Intune
· Collaborate with users and technical teams to resolve issues and fulfill service requests
· Utilize IT Service Management software to manage tasks and activities
· Develop and contribute knowledge articles to promote user self-service
Qualifications:
· Essential skills, experience, and competence required:
· HNC in Computing or equivalent experience
· Minimum of 5 years' experience in an IT Support environment
· Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, including Windows 10 and 11
· Working knowledge of Mac operating systems and Linux
· Proficiency in PC imaging and application deployment
· In-depth knowledge of office-based software systems, such as MS Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel
· Strong IT security awareness, including malware protection and password management
· Excellent oral communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical individuals
· Experience with remote working software, e.g., VPN, SecurID, MFA
· Microsoft or CompTIA certifications
Desirable skills, experience, and competence:
· Analytical problem-solving approach
· Experience working with 3rd party suppliers
· Familiarity with meeting room technologies and software, such as Zoom and Teams
· Knowledge of remote working software, such as Forticlient, NoMachine, SecurID, MFA
· Fire Warden duties experience
· Exposure to O365 admin tools, MS Endpoint & Intune, and PC imaging
