Are you looking for an exciting opportunity as an IT Support Technician? We have a fantastic opening for our client who is a busy and growing construction business located in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. The role offers a salary of up to £35,000 depending on experience, including car allowance and other benefits.

As IT Support Technician, your role will be crucial in providing support across the business. You will be the first point of contact for Service Desk tickets raised and will escalate complex calls when needed. With various locations and pop-up offices requiring setup, some travel to different sites will be required.

Your main focus will be on delivering exceptional support to end users. As a proactive team player, you will:

  • Support users by addressing their technical queries and ensuring swift resolutions
  • Log Helpdesk queries and actions accurately, maintaining proper documentation
  • Carry out regular maintenance and support for our systems
  • Set up and install various hardware, such as laptops, desktops, printers, tablets, and mobile phones
  • Assist with IT projects, contributing to their planning, coordination, and implementation
  • Identify and promptly escalate urgent issues for expedient resolution

To excel in this role as IT Support Technician, you will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A solid knowledge of IT support and experience fixing IT faults
  • Up-to-date technical knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Windows, Office 365, and Active Directory
  • Understanding of LAN, WAN, and VLAN configurations
  • Proficiency in operating system patching and updates
  • Proven experience in a similar role, working effectively under tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and customer care skills
  • A solutions-focused mindset with an analytical and methodical approach to problem-solving

Since this role requires travel, a full driving license is essential.

This role is commutable from Leeds, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Sheffield and Rotherham
