We are pleased to announce that due to exceptional growth, we have created an exciting new opportunity within our IT department, and we are looking for an IT Support Technician.
Role Description
As an IT Support Technician you will be required to operate and maintain computer systems and networks to ensure that the concerned people get the most effective IT functionality.
Key Responsibilities
Your main duties and responsibilities include:
- Serving as the first point of contact for IT support within the organisation
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining software and hardware components of computer and network systems
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues
- Repairing and replacing damaged computer and network components
- Ensuring the security of client and server computers by installing and upgrading antivirus and firewall software
- Supporting people whenever they encounter challenges with computers and network devices.
- Maintaining and updating the IT knowledgebase regularly
- Testing new hardware and software before full-scale installation
Skills & qualifications
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum experience working in a hands on and fast paced IT environment.
- The ability and confidence to work both alone and as part of a small team.
- Problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Extremely organised and process driven.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all departments.
- Experience with Microsof365 and Windows 11
- Configuring of Computers and Peripherals and servicing with basic repairs.
- Ability to troubleshoot system faults and solving hardware/software issues.
- Experience with network cabling
- Use of cloud-based Mail Servers, Exchange Online or GSUITE.
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Experience with ERP Systems (SAP, Dynamics 365, Epicor ERP) is desirable but not essential
Certifications required:
- CompTIA certifications
- Microsoft certifications
